Limburgerhof, 27 April 2025 – A very special event awaits the Carl-Bosch-Schule Limburgerhof next Sunday at 1 pm: a live online training session with the Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido school from Ragama, Sri Lanka. This is an opportunity to experience samurai sword training up close – despite the enormous distance of over 8000 kilometres! While the clocks in Germany strike at 1 pm, it is already 4.30 pm in Sri Lanka. The time difference of plus 3.5 hours makes this event an exciting intercultural exchange. The students from Sri Lanka meet at the Ragama Sri Lanka dojo. Under the guidance of experienced masters from Ragama, participants will not only refine their sword fighting technique on site in Limburgerhof, but also gain new perspectives and deeper insights into the art of Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido through digital interactions with the students and trainers in Sri Lanka. All interested parties are cordially invited to become part of this unique experience. There will also be an opportunity to find out about upcoming training trips to Sri Lanka. Here you can follow in the footsteps of the samurai and discover the country’s fascinating culture and martial arts. The whole thing takes about an hour!
How does it work? Just like a normal training session. Both sides are in their hall and transmit images and sound via a screen or large screen
