A wonderful welcome in Ragama Sri Lanka. There was great joy when the German Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido delegation arrived in Ragama, Sri Lanka, despite the unforeseen circumstances – an airport strike that forced them to arrive a day early. The reunion after the hardships was made even more enjoyable by the warm hospitality and enthusiasm of the local members. After only 3 months, the next Samurai Camp in Sri Lanka is already underway. On the first day, an important event was immediately on the programme: the procurement of 50 tatami mats from Waseem Sports Colombo, which was made possible thanks to a successful fundraising campaign. The new mats made their way to the Ragama dojo in a van, where they were awaited with great anticipation. The joy and gratitude that could be seen in the eyes of those present spoke volumes and emphasised the importance of this support for the local Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido community. Thank you also for the support of Waseem Sports Colombo. One important step is still to come: before the Samurai Camp 2025, the new mats will be laid in the dojo and formally inaugurated. This will not only improve the training conditions, but also further enhance the EC dojo. But these are not the only changes to come. The office from the boxing room is moving directly into the neighbouring building next to the dojo, which will create additional space. A new changing room will also be installed in the old office, which will meet the increasing demands. The courses have now reached such a high level of utilisation that an additional floor is planned. These expansions are not only a sign of growth, but also of the togetherness and commitment shown by the members of Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido in Ragama and beyond. Overall, the future of the dojo in Ragama, filled with new opportunities and shared experiences, promises to be an exciting journey for all Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido members < families and friends – and we can look forward to the next steps and the upcoming Samurai Camp!
