Relive the time of the Samurai, national and international
Samurai-Camp 2024 V1 Sri Lanka | Samurai-Camp 2024 V2 Sri Lanka
The next Samurai-Camp will take place from March 13th to 16th, 2025 in Sri Lanka!
Since 1989, the Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido Samurai Camp has been inspiring not only members but also interested parties from all over the world. With around 30 camps held, this event has become a special highlight of Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido.
The camps take place both in the local countryside and in faraway countries, which gives them a unique character. The tent camp is a central element of the Samurai Camp. Here, a samurai village is built in collaborative work, which becomes the home of the participants for several days. Surrounded by green meadows and shady forests, the participants experience intensive martial arts training in the open air. These exciting training opportunities not only promote physical fitness, but also strengthen team spirit and community. One of the highlights of the camp is the exciting team role-playing games that accompany the participants throughout the entire camp. These activities promote cooperation and enable participants to learn strategy and tactics in a playful way. The adventure program also offers a variety of activities such as archery, raft building, and night hikes where the stars provide orientation. There is something for everyone, from beginners to experienced fighters.
The Samurai Camp was not only limited to Germany; it has already taken place in far-flung countries such as Kenya (1990) and will also be realized in Sri Lanka in 2024 and 2025. This international flair makes the camp an ideal opportunity to get to know new cultures and create unforgettable memories. Furthermore, the Samurai Camp was also referred to as Bushido Camp for many years, which underlines its deep roots in the traditional way of the Samurai. It is important to emphasize that the Samurai Camp is unique in its form and execution.
Even though it was launched in 1989, it is not a copy of a budo camp, but an independent concept that integrates the principles and values of samurai culture into a modern format.
The Samurai Camp thus offers not only an opportunity to improve martial arts skills, but also a valuable opportunity for personal development in a supportive and adventurous environment. The positive experiences and the strong community make it an experience that attracts many participants again and again. Be part of this fascinating journey and discover the world of Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido!

TATSU-RYU-BUSHIDO SAMURAI-CAMP`S
Important information for interested participants from Sri Lanka
We are pleased to announce that the next Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido samurai camp will take place in March 2025! This event offers a unique opportunity for anyone interested in martial arts, regardless of their sport or association affiliation. We firmly believe that martial arts should be accessible to everyone – and we are committed to ensuring that no one who attends or has attended other seminars is excluded.
Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido offers regular training opportunities in Germany for those interested in Sri Lanka, on a voluntary and unpaid basis. These include monthly online training sessions and at least one seminar lasting several days each year. The next seminar days are:
- Thursday, March 13, 2025 in Ragama
- Saturday, March 15, 2025 at the beach
- Sunday, March 16, 2025** at the beach
On Friday, March 14, 2025, belt examinations and a closed training session will take place, to which the public is not admitted. In addition to the students of Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido Ragama, new interested parties are also cordially invited.
Unfortunately, we have learned that some prospective students from Sri Lanka have been told that participating in the Samurai Camp means that they can no longer attend another event. This is not the approach we take. In order to offer these participants the opportunity to attend the seminar anyway, we have found a solution: they are welcome to participate in the activities without appearing in pictures or on video.
For more information and to clarify your participation, please contact Senpai Kaushalya Nirmana directly on +94 71 854 0581. We hope to welcome you to the Samurai Camp and to experience an inspiring time together with you!
