Traditionally, travellers from Germany attend the training courses in Ragama. Yoga and Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido classes were held on the first day. Some of the Muay Thai group are also in Thailand, their country of origin, to take part in important competitions. In addition to 3 yoga classes on the day, Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido training sessions were also held again in Ragama. Due to the full hall, the Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido beginners’ training was moved from the TRB dojo to the Muay Thai boxing room next door. There, a junior trainer took on a few new trial students. This flexible solution allowed the new trial students to get off to the best possible start. In this room, a talented junior trainer, Dilinika Ashna D’Souza (Ash), took charge of the new students. Her enthusiasm and expertise quickly created a positive atmosphere and motivated the participants to give their best. They were supported by the experienced trainers Saiko-Shihan Christian Wiederanders and Sensei-Ho Fabian Birkle. Both demonstrated innovative training options and helped the athletes to refine their techniques. Meanwhile, part of the Muay Thai group was in their country of origin, Thailand, where they took part in major international competitions. This emphasises the close connection and tradition that these martial arts share.
