Samurai-Camp 2024 Sri Lanka V2 (EN)

28th SAMURAI CAMP: After only about seven months, the second Samurai Camp took place in the dreamlike setting of Sri Lanka – an event that not only made the hearts of the participants beat faster, but also stimulated anticipation for the Samurai Camp in mid-March 2025. Next time, it will take place at four different locations in Sri Lanka, which will provide even more adventure and experiences. Saiko-Shihan Christian Wiederanders came from Germany to lead the great program on site and to take the participants on a fascinating journey through time to the Japanese samurai and their weapons. The enthusiasm was tangible everywhere, and not without reason: no fewer than four television stations were on hand to report on Tatsu-Ryu Bushido. Three exciting days of training began early in the morning and ended late at night. The participants were full of enthusiasm and motivation, leaving no room for boredom. One highlight of the camp was the belt examinations: Dilnika Ashna Soysa and Suvindu Nileka Thilakarathne proudly passed their 4th kyu belt exam (construction), while Shenal Fernando and Kaushalya Nirmana successfully passed the 1st dan (black) exam in Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido. The participants received beautiful medals and certificates recognizing their achievements. Saiko-Shihan Christian Wiederanders received a special honor: His induction into the Hall of Fame in Sri Lanka is a testament to his tireless commitment and passion for martial arts. Preparations for 2025 are already underway, and there are numerous exciting plans: the construction of the new Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido Dojo on the second level in Ragama, the founding of a new university for martial arts trainers, and the expansion of new groups in Malle (Maldives) and Dubai (United Arab Emirates).
