Angela and Benedikt Walter, two dedicated members of Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido, are a well-coordinated team not only in their family life and daily practice. The couple from Mutterstadt, who run a GP practice, train and are actively involved in Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido. Angela Walter is known to many as an instructor and assistant trainer in children’s training. At the end of March, they successfully passed the exam for the comprehensive first aid instructor training course. Next month, the pair will complete their final additional qualification, enabling them to lead first aid courses for children, on children and for adults. This allows for bespoke sessions for our team of trainers, who are required to regularly refresh their knowledge. For our ever-growing training groups, it is important to know exactly what to do in an emergency. First aid – what is it actually? For many, this term conjures up various worst-case scenarios, and they immediately think of life-saving emergency measures such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation or the recovery position. But first aid begins much earlier. Applying a suitable bandage, offering reassuring words, and even sticking on a plaster are all forms of first aid that you can provide to someone. These initial measures are particularly important for children, but also for adults, and can help alleviate fear and the initial shock. Most incidents occur in the home. It is family members or close friends who suddenly find themselves in an emergency and need looking after. When was your last first-aid course? Would you know what to do? The entire Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido team warmly congratulates the pair on passing their final exam and wishes them every success in their further training.
