On 27 May 2025, the ordinary general meeting of the German Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido Kai e.V. took place, during which Christian Wiederanders, co-founder of the non-profit organisation in 1998, was confirmed as President. This re-election is a significant step for the association, as Wiederanders will serve as Managing Director until the end of 2026. After this term of office, he plans to pave the way for a new presidium and focus more on the interests of the World Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido Kai. The positive development of the association is clearly reflected in the figures for 2024, which show remarkable growth. A new administrative team was introduced to further promote this dynamic and optimise the association’s work. Julia Arz and Martin Paetz will take on a central role in day-to-day business in future. The 2025 calendar year will be characterised by innovation and support. The focus is on the introduction of a new learning platform, which is of great importance not only for the members of the umbrella organisation, but also for the Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido Rheinland-Pfalz e.V. state association. This platform promises to expand training and education opportunities and increase the quality of training. Changes are also planned in the affiliated clubs. Here, too, there will be personnel reorganisations in order to effectively achieve the goals set for 2026. In this context, Sensei Thorsten Klein will take over the dojo management (training management) for Friedelsheim, Limburgerhof, Mutterstadt, Neuhofen and Waldsee. Another important concern is the further development of the trainer school, as the demand for qualified trainers is currently higher than the supply. The increasing number of enquiries requires a rapid response to ensure that enough trainers are available. Overall, the German Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido Kai e.V. is laying the foundations for a successful future in the martial arts community with its clear focus on growth, innovation and training. The coming months promise to be exciting as the association moves towards its goals.
