While part of the coaching team is training the German delegation at the Samurai Camp in Sri Lanka, events are also unfolding rapidly in Germany. The newly founded Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido Mutterstadt e.V. has applied to the “Sports Club of the Future – Fit for Digitalization with BASF” initiative and submitted a project proposal on the topic of “Online Learning Platform for Martial Arts” using a digital check. This project was selected from a total of approximately 300 applications received. The club will now be supported in the planning and implementation over the next 18 months. On Monday, March 17, 2025, an initial online meeting took place, where the project team, consisting of Martin Paetz and Julia Arz, had the opportunity to meet Sascha Nagel, who is responsible for the project. The Mutterstadt association is also receiving support from Markus Schlereth of the Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido  Rheinland-Pfalz, which will further strengthen the implementation of the project. Therefore, the three of them met on Sunday, March 16, 2025 for an initial preliminary discussion in a cozy setting. At this first joint meeting, the participants were able to compare ideas and goals to ensure an optimal start to the project. Another highlight is already on the horizon: on April 5, 2025, there will be an initial on-site meeting with all participating clubs in Heidelberg, where important steps for the joint work will be discussed. The “Sports Club of the Future” initiative has set itself the goal of helping sports clubs take advantage of the opportunities offered by digitization and positioning themselves for the future.
