Ahoy, Helau and Alaaf. Next Tuesday, 4 March 2025, the Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido Mutterstadt e.V. will be taking part in this year’s carnival parade in Mutterstadt with a samurai foot group of around 25 members with the starting number 13. Under the motto: ‘Learn the Japanese martial art with and without wooden weapons with fun and passion in the community’, we present the diversity and fascination of the Japanese martial art Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido together. The parade is organised by the municipality of Mutterstadt with the organisational support of the MCV ‘Die Geeßtreiwer’. We will meet at 13:00 to line up in Mutterstadt in Blockfeldstraße near the IGS/Rundsporthalle. From there, the procession will set off at 14:11 in the direction of Neustadter Straße, via Bohligstraße to Messplatz. A street carnival will take place on the forecourt of the Palatinum (Herrmann-Belzner-Platz). If travelling by car, please note that the starting and finishing points of the procession are not identical. The streets will also be cordoned off well in advance. We want to participate in Gi or Hakama and Haori. Please remember to wear warm clothes under the gi/hakama and suitable warm shoes as it may be chilly on the day. For safety reasons, we would like to refrain from carrying wooden weapons. This event is aimed at everyone, including children aged 6 and over, who can take part accompanied by their parents or other carers. However, as the coaches/trainers/assistants are themselves involved in the event, the duty of supervision remains with the parents. We ask parents/guardians to wear black/dark-coloured clothing if possible. This way we will really stand out in our black suits in the colourful carnival hustle and bustle. Please also remember to bring cloth bags in which to transport the litter and flyers.
