On Sunday, 23 November 2025, the second and final part of the Nicht-mit-mir advanced course took place from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. in the Carl Bosch gymnastics hall in Limburgerhof. All 12 participants were back and eager to learn. To maintain high quality, three trainers were on hand. Techniques were reinforced and practised further. Physical fitness was also a focus. The children were playfully placed in stressful situations to remain as realistic as possible and to see how they would react. After physical exercises designed to raise their heart rates, the children applied the techniques they had already learned. Their heart rates will also be high in real situations. The children should learn to remain capable of acting and not to freeze in shock. They also practised how best to free themselves from dangerous situations or, in the best case scenario, how to enter them safely in order to avoid worse consequences. It is important that the children always keep their hands up to protect themselves. Finally, the children learned how to get help and not to be afraid to call the emergency services if they find themselves in a real emergency situation. It does not matter whether you call the emergency services because someone is injured and needs medical attention or because you have witnessed a crime. Self-protection always comes first. The next Nicht-mit-mir course is expected to take place in February 2026. Thank you also to Julia Arz and Christian Grünert for their fantastic support!
