On Wednesday, 17 September 2025, another entrance examination took place at the dojo in Limburgerhof. The entrance examinations at Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido are something very special, concluding with a traditional entrance ceremony. Conny Haller, who has been training as a Seito-Ho at the dojo in Limburgerhof for some time, was able to demonstrate her skills and what she had learned in front of the examiner Sensei Thorsten Klein and the other Seito. After Conny passed her exam with flying colours, the traditional admission ritual followed. In this ritual, the master pours sake for the student, and then the student pours sake for the teacher. Alternatively, green tea is drunk instead of sake. This symbolises mutual respect and learning from each other. The student learns from the teacher, just as every teacher learns something new from every student. Not only the initiation ceremony, but also the awarding of the 1st and 3rd dan grades is a special ceremony. Here, the examinee is also presented with the belt, followed by the sake ceremony. This does not apply to KIDS belt grades under the age of 14. We are delighted that Conny Haller has successfully passed the entrance examination and has thus been officially accepted into Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido. She is now entitled to wear her black gi and white belt.
