There is huge anticipation for the upcoming Samurai Camp 2026 in Sri Lanka – and this is clearly reflected in the response: As the number of participants is expected to be exceptionally high this year, the Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido training on site will be divided into several groups. This ensures that every participant receives personalised, high-quality guidance. In this context, Saiko-Shihan Christian Wiederanders will be actively supported by Senpai Martin Paetz. At the camp, Martin will focus on teaching the essential basics with the wooden sword (bokken) and instructing participants in the precise execution of kata forms.
Who is Senpai Martin Paetz? Martin is a familiar face to many members, as his commitment to Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido extends far beyond the mat. Martin has been part of our martial arts community since 2019 and has, during this time, become a central pillar of the club. As chairman of the clubs in Limburgerhof, Neuhofen, Beindersheim and Waldsee, as well as a member of the association’s executive committee, he steers the fortunes of the regional TRB branches with great passion and administrative skill. In addition to his board duties, Martin is a certified trainer (D licence) who is constantly furthering his training. View profile >>>
We are delighted to have Martin on board as a trainer and dedicated official, and are convinced that participants in his sessions will gain valuable insights for their personal journey in Bushido.
