The Indian association Bharat Vasi Germany e.V. in Mainz prepared a very special invitation for the Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido e.V.: the festive Indian New Year celebration – Navarsha Utsav 2025. This event, which not only celebrated the rich Indian culture but also built bridges between different communities, attracted numerous guests, including Christian Wiederanders and Sabina Nezirovic, who felt honoured to be part of this special event. A highlight of the ceremony was the tribute to Dr Anuradha Doddaballapur, captain of the German national women’s cricket team. Her passion for her vocation as a cardiovascular scientist and her commitment to sports were particularly honoured. Her achievements not only inspire young female athletes, but also create a connection between different walks of life. The festive atmosphere was enriched by rousing Indian music, impressive singing and dancing, and a colourful fashion show. The cultural quiz provided a welcome change of pace and encouraged discussion about the traditions and customs of India. There were also numerous activities for younger guests, which provided fun and variety. And of course, the tasty Indian food was not to be missed, rounding off the culinary delights of the celebration. The diverse aromas and spices took the guests on a sensory journey through India and made the evening unforgettable. The Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido team was thrilled to have the opportunity to broaden their own horizons through this cultural experience. Such events not only promote mutual understanding, but also strengthen the community and the sense of togetherness in our society. All in all, the Navarsha Utsav 2025 was a successful celebration that impressed with its diversity and the warm exchange between cultures, creating lasting memories.
