Dear children, dear members, due to the tragic events in Mannhein today at noon (03.03.2025), tomorrow’s carnival parade in Mutterstadt has been cancelled by the organisers for safety reasons. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the victims and relatives of the terrible act in Mannheim. We would like to thank our members for their interest and commitment and hope that we will be able to take part in an event together under different circumstances.
MUTTERSTADT: Cancellation of the carnival parade and street carnival

Dear citizens,
Due to the tragic events that took place today in Mannheim, the carnival parade on Tuesday, 4 March 2025, and the subsequent street carnival in Mutterstadt have been cancelled.
Our thoughts are with the victims of this terrible crime and their families. Our deepest sympathy goes out to them. We wish all those injured a speedy recovery.
Even though we had organised and prepared everything to ensure a safe and happy carnival for all those celebrating, we are unable to celebrate a carefree carnival in view of the dramatic events. This decision was made in consultation with the carnival association MCV ‘Die Geeßtreiwer’ Mutterstadt and the municipality of Mutterstadt.
We would like to thank all those involved for their commitment to the preparations and regret having to make this decision at such short notice.
We ask for your understanding in this difficult time.
