On Saturday 2 November 2024, it was a great honour to attend the grand opening of the new kickboxing school in Mutterstadt. This special event was hosted by Ferdinand and Nina Mack, the only married couple with world championship titles in kickboxing. From 11am to 2pm, the doors of the school opened and visitors were greeted with an exciting programme that included demonstrations and hands-on activities. The atmosphere was electric, and it was not only a surprise to Ferdinand, but also a great pleasure, that masters from all over Germany had travelled to celebrate this special day. Among them were the renowned self-defence expert Andreas Delies, world champion Michael Möller and samurai expert Christian Wiederanders. Their presence lent additional weight to the event and showed the high esteem in which the sport of kickboxing is held in the community. During the day, ideas for a joint seminar were already being discussed, which will promote cooperation and exchange within the kickboxing community. Members of Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido from Mutterstadt and Limburgerhof were also present and enriched the event with their commitment. The team of the Mack family from Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido wishes the new kickboxing school every success in starting training. May this new location inspire many athletes and help to pass on the passion for kickboxing. We look forward to many exciting training sessions and further shared experiences!
