In addition to the normal training program in Ragama, Sri Lanka, additional workshops are held. For this purpose, day workshops with different areas such as MMA, Muay Thai Kickboxing and Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido take place on almost every monthly holiday. This was also the case on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 7 a.m. German time. During the summer time, the time difference to Sri Lanka is 3.5 hours. This time, the workshop took place online, where the head of Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido and co-founder in Sri Lanka, Christian Wiederanders, taught defense techniques with the Samurai sword. These are taught using a wooden sword (bokken). Renil Fernando and his son Kaushalya Nirmana are supporting the training on site. The progress is enormous and it is great to see the passion with which the participants are taking part. The next major workshop will take place in mid-December 2024 in Sri Lanka.
