On Wednesday, 25 June 2025, the children in the Kids 1 group (aged 5–9) experienced an unusual training session, which took place under special circumstances due to the high temperatures. The trainers decided to organise a particularly gentle training session on this hot day to ensure that the children had an enjoyable experience, both physically and mentally. Instead of intensive cardio and endurance exercises, the focus of this training session was on refreshing the theory, which was also good preparation for some of the children for their upcoming belt exams. The trainers took the opportunity to teach important basics and techniques in a playful way. The children had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge. This calm approach not only promoted understanding but also team dynamics within the group. The highlight of the training session was an imaginary journey led by O-Seito Angela Walter as part of her assistant trainer training. The children were invited to ‘turn into a dandelion’. With their eyes closed and guided by their imagination, they were allowed to feel light and free as they moved across meadows and fields in their minds. This creative exercise helped the children relax from the heat and organise their thoughts. Overall, this special training session offered a valuable change of pace and helped to promote creativity and relaxation among the little samurai. Despite the high temperatures, the children left the session with a clear head and a feeling of lightness.
