On Saturday, 28 February 2026, Lorsch was all about martial arts. The Rhineland-Palatinate Jiu-Jitsu Association hosted a state technical training course, followed by the annual general meeting. A representative of Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido was there to reaffirm the association’s ties to the professional association and to gather valuable technical insights for their own training. Although Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido does not practise jiu-jitsu, the club has long been integrated into the association as an extraordinary member. The exchange with other styles is an enrichment for us and an integral part of our curriculum. This time, the course focused on ground fighting techniques and special training methods for the 3rd dan examination. The participants took the opportunity to compare techniques and broaden their horizons. Following the sporting part, the organisational course for the current year was set at the association’s general meeting. Martin Paetz represented the interests of the regional Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido clubs in a multiple role: He attended the meeting as chairman of the Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido Limburgerhof, Neuhofen and Waldsee clubs and as a delegate for the Mutterstadt location. Despite the stylistic differences, both sides emphasised the importance of cooperation. Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido will continue to use the services of the Jiu-Jitsu Association in the future to maintain the highest level of training quality at its locations through external input. About Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido: The martial art offers training at locations in Limburgerhof, Mutterstadt, Neuhofen and Waldsee. In addition to technical training, the focus is on promoting discipline, respect and community. Interested parties are welcome to attend a trial training session at any time.
