On Friday, 6 March 2026, the Not with me basic course no. 37 started in Limburgerhof in the Carl Bosch gymnastics hall. In the basic course, children aged 6 and above learn age-appropriate violence prevention, self-assertion and realistic self-defence techniques. The fully booked course was led by certified and nationally recognised course instructors Julia Arz and Christian Wiederanders. At the beginning of the three-day course, the most important techniques were demonstrated and practised: saying ‘stop’ loudly and clearly, the passive block against a slap in the face and how to fall safely, as well as child-friendly grip release. Over the next two days of the course, these techniques will be consolidated, further developed and practised in role-plays. The school playground will also be used as a realistic backdrop for the training location. An additional basic course is currently planned for September 2026, in May or June 2026 in Mutterstadt. ‘Not with me – protect yourself from violence!’ is a multi-award-winning, Germany-wide and nationally standardised prevention, self-assertion and self-defence concept for children and young people. Only trained, licensed and professionally competent course instructors with relevant experience teach the concept to course participants in an age- and target group-oriented manner. This also includes regularly checking the extended police clearance certificates of all course instructors. The courses are designed to help children avoid dangers, recognise dangerous situations and defend themselves in an emergency. With our violence prevention project, we want to help children and young people grow into self-confident, strong personalities. The new dates for courses scheduled for November will follow by the end of September and will be published on the homepage for registration as usual!
