On Wednesday, 7 January 2026, it was that time again: the coaches met in Limburgerhof to prepare for the New Year training course. The start of the new year was not only an opportunity to discuss upcoming training sessions and events, but also to strengthen cohesion within the coaching team. The meeting began with a constructive discussion in the sports hall. The coaches coordinated individual procedures and content to ensure that the messages were communicated consistently and clearly. This exchange was crucial to guarantee a high standard for the upcoming training sessions and to offer participants a consistent experience. After the intensive exchange, there was an opportunity to end the evening in a relaxed atmosphere over a meal together. Here, not only were ideas exchanged, but friendships were also cultivated. Such evenings together are an important part of being a trainer and contribute to the motivation of all involved. With fresh enthusiasm and new ideas, we will now continue on Sunday with the New Year’s training course. We are very much looking forward to meeting the participants, and the team of trainers is well prepared to make the new year sporty and inspiring.
High-quality training opportunities with the Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido Academy
The Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido Academy offers outstanding training opportunities directly in the club and in schools. Thanks to our cooperation with the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), we can offer various training courses, including the preliminary TRB-D licence (30 LE) qualification for trainers. This basic qualification is even offered internationally, for example in Sri Lanka!
In cooperation with the Rhineland-Palatinate Sports Federation, we make it possible to complete part of the training to become a ‘specialist sports instructor’ or to obtain a C licence as a trainer within the club. Of a total of 120 learning units (LU), we offer 90 LU at Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido, while the remaining 30 LU are completed at the Palatinate Sports Federation. In addition, we conduct various advanced training courses in cooperation with the Sports Federation, which can be credited towards licence renewal for youth and training leaders as well as club managers. Experienced trainers also have the opportunity to acquire a TRB B licence (60 LE) in order to become a sensei.

Flexibility and support in setting up a club
In order to be able to respond quickly to enquiries about opening new clubs (dojos), we have introduced the TRB-D licence (trainer) in combination with the DOSB trainer/coach C licence. This enables new trainers to get started quickly. In addition, the TRB-E licence is an excellent way to get started in coaching at an existing club (dojo) and gain valuable experience.
We are still looking for new members to join our team of trainers — both in existing clubs and at new locations. Get ready to not only enrich the club, but also to advance your own development through trainer training! Let’s grow together and unleash the full potential of our community.
