On Friday, 19 September, the second day of the ‘Not with me’ introductory course took place, which once again attracted an impressive number of participants. This age-appropriate course offers children the opportunity to explore topics such as violence prevention, self-assertion and self-defence. The day began with a review of previously learned techniques before moving on to the exciting part: the emergency strike, also known as the tiger claw. The children practised diligently on a break board, strengthening not only their physical abilities but also their self-confidence. A special highlight was the role-play in the schoolyard, where the children could practise how to get help when they feel unsafe in practical situations. This was an excellent opportunity to apply the skills they had learned in a realistic context while promoting teamwork. The next week promises to be just as educational. But the absolute highlight will be the closing event on Sunday, 5 October 2025, at the Carl-Bosch-Halle Limburgerhof. At 11 a.m., all parents are invited to celebrate their children’s progress together with them. And at 12:30 p.m., there will be a taster session of the Samurai programme at the same location. It is wonderful to see how motivated children learn to recognise their strengths and be well prepared in an emergency in a positive atmosphere.
