At Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido, the focus is on training and further education, whereby we look far beyond the horizon. Some experienced trainers also explore the world of yoga, Thai Chi, and Qigong, where traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) also plays an important role. The Tatsu-Ryu-Bushido training manager, Christian Wiederanders, himself attended further training courses in Qigong over a long period of time. In the summer of 2025, he became a certified Qigong course instructor.
The qigong instructor training course at the Academy for Sport and Health (ASG) embodies one of these approaches by offering participants comprehensive insights into the profound philosophical teachings of Daoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism. In this recognized and certified training program, participants not only learn the basic techniques of Qigong, but also the cultural and spiritual roots behind this ancient practice. The combination of philosophy and movement makes learning a unique and unforgettable experience. By exploring the three great teachings of Asia, an understanding is created that allows participants to experience the significance of Qigong not only as a physical practice, but also as a path to inner harmony and self-development.
The 90-hour training course covers: Definition and history; The 6 principles of practice; Styles of practice in Qigong; Forms of expression in Qigong; Pedagogy, didactics, and methodology; Structure of a Qigong class; Principles of Qigong; Qigong with children; Stress and stress management; Qigong and health; Qigong in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)
You will learn the correct postures and understand the interactions between imagination and qi. The balance between movement and rest will also be a central theme, helping you to grasp the art of qigong in its fullest depth.
There is also a special focus on stability and comprehensive development of the upper body. This is crucial for enriching both your own practice and that of your future students. A central goal of the training is to develop a sense of the right balance – so you can respond to the individual needs of each student and support them step by step in their holistic development.
